Business Development Specialist

General Purpose of the Position:

Primary responsibility will be to focus on new customer acquisition, lead generation and setting appointments for Technology Specialists and Sales Engineers for CIMTEC Distribution. This team lead role includes analyzing sales reports to understand customer growth and revenue opportunities and to prospect for potential new customers. The Business Development position will qualify leads for the outside team and work in tandem with the outside Sales members to maximize customer interactions and support their account strategies. The Business Development role is to create and support proactive selling behaviors and to act as Team Lead to insure our sales revenue goals and objectives are achieved.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Outbound calls and setting appointments.
  • Analyzing reports looking for leads and prospects.
  • Prospecting
  • Managing and qualifying incoming leads from vendors, website, events, new customer inquiries.
  • Drive appointments for SE’s, SSE’s, and Technology specialist.
  • Focused initially on SSE’s appointments and leads, and expand to Robotics and Sales Engineers.
  • Become proficient with using LinkedIn Sales Navigator as a prospecting tool and continual research and development of Automation opportunities within our Distribution footprint.
  • Master CIMTRAX, CIMTEC customer retention and information platform.
  • Assist Sales Manager with developing marketing plans, email blasts, email lists, and event coordination.
  • Provide Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Status Reports to Sales Manager.
  • Takes part in special projects as needed.
  • Participate in all team meetings.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities Required:

Education and Experience Required:

  • Associate's degree (A.A./A.S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • Six months to a year related experience and/or training
