Proficy Plant Applications training is structured around the modularized framework of the product, starting with the Proficy Plant Applications Fundamentals course. This course provides the foundation for the Level 1 courses.
The Level 1 courses focus on the details of integrated quality plus plant performance and execution. Courses include Proficy Plant Applications Efficiency, Quality, and the newly completed Production Management course.
The Level 2 offerings that are planned, are advanced courses that center on more technical aspects such as Reporting, SDK development, and advanced integration topics. Level 2 courses are expected to be released starting in Q4 2006.
Proficy Plant Applications Efficiency teaches the student how to configure the Plant Applications software to produce Efficiency related metrics for their plant environment. This two-day course provides an introduction to the concept of Efficiency Management and Overall Equipment Effectiveness. This includes learning to configure Downtime, Waste and Production Metrics (OEE). Students will also be taught how to utilize captured Plant Applications data in web enabled analytical tools to explore the why, what and when that impacts manufacturing efficiency.
The Proficy Plant Applications Quality Course describes how to configure the Plant Applications software to capture precise specifications of a product run, and manage the quality of all raw materials, in-process products and finished goods. This course provides an introduction to the concept of Specification Management and how the relationship of products with specifications can streamline the process of maintaining product information. This includes learning to configure site specific and equipment specific product specifications, Alarm conditions, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) analysis tools. Students will also be taught how to utilize captured Plant Applications data in web enabled analytical tools to expose product relationships for analysis and troubleshooting, and to measure variation in the plant manufacturing process. Plant Applications Quality is a two-day course.
The new Proficy Plant Applications Production Management Fundamentals Course teaches the student how to configure Plant Applications software to model product flow and capture production, consumption and genealogy data. This includes learning to design a Plant Model for production tracking, configuring Product and Production Events to support Product Genealogy, and setting up Plant Applications for Schedule and Order Management. Students will explore how to use Production Management related client applications found in Plant Applications, how to configure production execution paths and execute a schedule item. This is a three-day course.
All courses include valuable hands-on lab exercises that guide students through the configuration and use of the capabilities of Proficy Plant Applications.
